The Alphabet and Pronunciation
Hello! Today, we’re going to start with the very basics of English – the alphabet. It’s really important to learn the alphabet and how to pronounce each letter correctly because it will help you with everything else in English, from reading to spelling to pronunciation.
Let’s start by looking at the English alphabet. We have 26 letters, and each one has an uppercase and a lowercase version. Here they are:

Now, I’m going to say each letter, and I want you to repeat after me. Ready? Let’s go:
[Say each letter, have the student repeat after you]
Great job! Now, to help you remember each letter, I’m going to give you a word that starts with that letter. For example, “A” is for “Apple,” “B” is for “Ball,” “C” is for “Cat,” and so on.

Now, let’s make this a bit more fun. Have you ever played Bingo? We’re going to play a game called “Alphabet Bingo.” I’ll call out a letter, and if you see that letter on your card, you can mark it. The first one to mark all the letters on their card and shout “Bingo!” is the winner.

That was fun, wasn’t it? Now, for your homework, I want you to practice writing each letter of the alphabet, both uppercase and lowercase. I also want you to listen to this recording of me saying different letters and words, and then repeat them. This will help you practice your pronunciation.
Remember, learning the alphabet is just the first step in learning English. Keep practicing, and soon you’ll be able to use these letters to form words and sentences. Good job today, and I’ll see you in our next lesson!
